Hi, I'm Jessica Kalama, an East Bay Realtor with Realty ONE Group Elite, serving Oakley, Walnut Creek, Brentwood, Concord, and Pleasant Hill. My career spans more than two decades across real estate and education.
I was first licensed in 2003, spent nearly two decades in education including 13 years as a school psychologist, and returned my focus to real estate in 2023. I'm also a California Licensed Educational Psychologist.

For 13 years as a school psychologist, my job was to help families understand their options and make high-stakes decisions under real pressure. That work taught me how people actually process information, weigh risk, and move forward with confidence.
When I returned my focus to real estate in 2023, I brought that same discipline with me. I've watched the East Bay market move through many cycles since 2003, and I understand how changing conditions shape real decisions. Today, real estate is my primary business, and I continue to practice educational psychology to keep my license active, my skills current, and to keep supporting children and families, which has always been a passion of mine.
First licensed in real estate (DRE #01375296).
Became an educator, beginning nearly two decades in education.
Became a school psychologist, a role I held for 13 years.
Returned my focus to real estate, now my primary business.
Earned my California Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) license.
You'll see your options, usually three clear scenarios, before you make any decision. This is a big decision, and you deserve to make it with clarity. I call it the Informed Decision Framework: psychology, market data, and deep local knowledge, brought together for your goals.
I start with your life and your goals, not a listing. What is this move really about, and what has to be true for it to work?
I lay out your realistic options side by side, with the numbers behind each one, so the trade-offs are obvious before you commit.
You choose the path that fits, understanding not just the plan, but the reasoning behind it. Then I handle the execution end to end.

Equity-rich owners navigating a life change, whether that's downsizing, moving up, or putting built-up equity to work.
People who need someone to make the numbers make sense, including new construction, before they commit to a home.
Families weighing whether real estate can build lasting, multi-generational wealth, and how to do it wisely.
